{"id":381,"date":"2020-06-30T12:19:42","date_gmt":"2020-06-30T17:19:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marcusdavison.net\/bookoflife\/?p=381"},"modified":"2020-06-30T12:37:41","modified_gmt":"2020-06-30T17:37:41","slug":"behavioral-reaction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.marcusdavison.net\/bookoflife\/behavioral-reaction\/","title":{"rendered":"Behavioral Reaction"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u2116 2020181<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monday \u2013 06.29.2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Behavioral Reaction<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You can only observe someone\u2019s behavior.<ul><li>Visual behavior.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Verbal behavior.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Physical behavior.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>A person in authority can only react to someone\u2019s behavior.<\/li><li>If a person demonstrates erratic or threatening behavior and fails to comply with instructions from a person in authority; then, the person in authority must appropriately react to the demonstrated behavior.<ul><li>Failure to react appropriately may endanger others or themselves.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Regarding several high-profile cases involving officers, sworn to uphold the law, note the following:<ul><li>Little is ever mentioned about the individual\u2019s behavior prior to the involvement of officers.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Less seems to be mentioned about any toxicology reports resulting from the incidents.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>If one race appears to be targeted over others, could it be due to their behavioral traits towards authority figures?<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Or could it be their own behavioral tendencies towards another race?<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Regarding the officer\u2019s reaction to observed behavior:<ul><li>They only reacted to demonstrated behavior.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>In a micro-second, failure to react could have resulted in injury or death to themselves or others.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>I remember getting \u2018the talk\u2019 when I was young and dumb; and, I have more than one scar for not heeding wise counsel.<ul><li>The \u2018talk\u2019 is not unique to any race, it is called common courtesy or respect.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>In summation:<ul><li>An individual\u2019s behavior determines corporate reaction.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>If everyone acted responsibly, there would be no need for authority or law.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Unfortunately, in most, possibly all, of these high-profile cases, the individual\u2019s behavior warranted interaction with officers of authority and the individual failed to comply with said authority.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Been there\u2026 done that\u2026 it is sad some people will never learn &amp; others will never get it\u2026 treat everyone like you want to be treated\u2026 msd<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u2116 2020181 Monday \u2013 06.29.2020 Behavioral Reaction You can only observe someone\u2019s behavior.
